Home Help Care

Home help care services are personal care and companionship services that help our valued clients manage their daily lives so they can be independent, safe, and comfortable at home.

Personal care needs and assisted living support tasks include dressing, bathing, toileting, mobility (walking or moving with assistive devices), meal preparation, and light housework. We work with our clients and their families, the HSE, GPs, public health nurses and social workers to create personalised home help care packages for occasional or live-in basis, to reduce the risk of adverse accidents, falls, and avoidable hospitalisation.

This type of care is often sought out to enable safe, independent living at home, or to provide companionship, assistance, and compassionate care for a loved one living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.

Who can benefit from person-centred home help services?

  • Family carers who are ready for professional help
Many of our clients who take advantage of our home help services are looking for assistance in caring for an aging parent or relative. Balancing work, children, and home life can be considerably harder when also trying to help a parent or other family member stay safe and independent. BAYADA can help fill in the gaps so you can feel confident your loved one is in safe, dependable hands when you’re not there.
  • Families managing Alzheimer’s disease or dementia
Our home help care is often chosen by families as an alternative to nursing home care. Each person’s experience with their dementia and Alzheimer’s is unique to them, and the symptoms and behaviours that can occur during middle to later stage illness can be very challenging and confusing for both the person living with the illness and their family. Being able to stay at home, in their familiar, safe environment can be extremely beneficial when living with dementia. The BAYADA care team are fully trained and experienced to support and strategise for coping. BAYADA is also pioneering a dementia and Alzheimer’s care training programme for caregivers to provide the best support possible for clients and their families.

Nothing is more important than your safety and well-being. That’s why we are committed to providing care with compassion, excellence, and reliability – it’s The BAYADA Way.
