BAYADA Continues Its Commitment to Sustainability
Last year, our incredible BAYADA volunteers came together to plant 500 trees in Kilkenny as part of the 100 Million Trees Project, a nationwide initiative dedicated to restoring Ireland’s native woodlands. This year, we are proud to have taken our commitment even further, planting another 500 native trees near Ballygarrett, Co. Wexford.
With every tree we plant, we are proud to contribute to the preservation of Ireland’s natural landscapes and biodiversity. From Wild Cherry to Alder, Birch, and Hazel, each species plays a crucial role in enhancing local ecosystems, supporting wildlife, and combatting climate change. By participating in this initiative, BAYADA is continuing its mission to foster a greener, more sustainable future for generations to come.
The success of this year’s planting event would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers, whose hard work and enthusiasm truly made a difference. A heartfelt thank you goes out to each and every one of them for rolling up their sleeves and helping us grow a brighter future.
We also extend our deepest gratitude to Mags and Seamus Greenan for their generosity in donating the land for this year’s planting. Their support has been instrumental in making this event a reality, and we are incredibly grateful for their commitment to environmental conservation.
With two successful years behind us, we are already looking forward to next year’s planting event. Let’s keep planting, nurturing, and protecting Ireland’s forests—one tree at a time!
